6th grade teachers will be introduced to the new unit plans for India, China, Greece, and Rome. We will be collaborating and looking through approved resources, and taking a deep dive into the Spartan DBQ. This is encouraged for new 6th grade teachers._x000D_Teachers will be able to plan effective Social Studies units. Teachers will understand learning objectives, and where to find approved resources. Teachers will have a better grasp on how to use a DBQ for instruction.
Students with blindness and visual impairments learn in different ways than their peers. They have trouble seeing regular print materials, lessons or pictures projected at the front of the room, visually cluttered displays, and even faces and facial expressions. Learn what it's like to function as a visually impaired individual, and learn how to identify signs and get help for your students. Educators will know who to contact when in need of visual services. Educators will be able to identify signs of visual impairments. Educators will experience how t function as students with blindness.
